MEET THE TEAM

My name is Skylar Jackson, President and CEO of SWAGGA.  I'm from Shreveport Louisiana, and have lived there most of my life.  I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone looked out for one another.  We may not have agreed on everything but we didn't let each other go without.  It is our desire to take that same concept that we had with my community and bring that to SWAGGA; showing people grace by providing a helping hand when life gets hard, regardless of their beliefs, background, mistakes, or race.

Do you remember when you needed help and no one was around to help you? How did that make you feel? What if you got the help you needed, rather it was financially, mentally, emotionally or spiritually?  Would your decision making been different in those times of need?  I believe some people make bad decisions because of survival, not because they are a bad person.  With this non profit, we want to be a neighbor to everyone who needs help without passing judgment and walk with them as they find their footing again.  We believe help at the right moment will turn rejection and despair into hope, and with that hope we can make it through difficult times together.
