A LETTER FROM THE CEO
I was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and grew up in a small community where our neighbors looked out for one another. No matter small or big the need was, we could count on our neighbors to look out for us in the time of need. What is a neighbor? According to Webster Dictionary, a neighbor is "one living or located near another". But I would like to take it a step further. A neighbor is someone who you come in contact with daily, whether it is a grocery store, a place of employment, a place of education, or a place of entertainment.
Everywhere you go, you will meet a neighbor in need. The question is will you be willing to help your neighbor if you knew they were in need? I cannot answer that question for you, but I can answer that question for Swagga. Our goal at Swagga is to lend a helping hand to those who are in need, no matter how big or small the request may be. A helping hand could save someone from being in the dark, going to bed on an empty stomach, or having enough gas for work so they can provide for thier family. We know we cannot save everyone, but if we establish a relationship with those in our local communities, we believe at some point that our communities can save themselves by looking out for one another.
When was the last time you helped your neighbor? Do you desire to help people on a bigger scale but do not have the opportunity to do so? Now is your chance! I am asking everyone who is willing to partner with Swagga by donating $10 a month to our Restore Our Community campaign. It will assist families with basic needs to ensure they have running water, hot meals, electricity, and a chance at a better life. $10 a month from one person may not make a difference, but $10 a month from a caring community can channge lives for years to come.
Thank you for being a part of our vision and helping us fulfill our mission.
Warm Regards,
Sklyar Jackson
